Angel Eyes is one of the most prestigious and trusted eye hospitals in North India especially when it comes to offering quality eye treatments/surgeries to expats and international patients. We offer customized treatments to all our patients with cutting-edge technology at an affordable cost.

Why Choose India?

India has become a major hub for medical tourism in the past few years. The country has been appreciated for offering the same quality of healthcare as available in the developed nations but at an economical price-point. Procedures which may cost thousands of dollars in western nations can be accomplished at quarter the costs in India with the same standards of precision and safety.

The medical community of India has also received praise across the world. Indian doctors and nurses and other professionals have made their mark on every corner of the planet and have also contributed immensely towards the growth of the field.

The special considerations for choosing an eye hospital or eye care centre include:

  • Dedicated international patient coordinators: These coordinators help you with each step of visit, coordinating a preliminary consult with the doctor online, helping you with your transport and stay including your pick up and drop from the airport. In fact, they will even help you get an estimate of costs before you make your decision regarding surgery. If required, they will happy to help you with your sightseeing itinerary as well. Your relationship with the eye hospital, thus starts before you book your tickets to come to Delhi or India for the best possible eye treatment.
  • Availability of multilingual interpreters: Trained interpreters, often from your own country, will assist you in your interactions with the doctor and hospital personnel in case you do not speak English or any other local language. They will be happy to assist you if you want to indulge in a bit of sightseeing, and also help you find your local food, if you so desire.
  • Super specialty practices: Eye services in every field of ophthalmology such as Spectacle Removal, Cataract, Glaucoma, Cornea, Retina, Squint, Neurophthalmology, Oculoplasty etc. with highly skilled doctors, most of whom are fellowship trained in the premier institutions of India & abroad.
  • Dedicated team of paramedical staff and patient care staff: All of the staff members are fluent in English. Most of them have a working knowledge of several regional and few foreign languages as well, after having seen and interacted with hundreds of patients from abroad.
  • State of the art diagnostic and surgical equipment: Our eye hospital offers the best eye treatment for international patients in India, with equipment to rival the premier institutions in Europe and America.
  • Cost: The cost of both diagnostic and surgical procedures is fraction of the cost compared to other developed countries. Our eye centre offers the premium surgeries for vision correction and spectacle removal, as well as cataract surgery for less than one third to one fourth the price in your country, with technology and skilled doctors, at par with the best eye hospitals in the world.
  • Tourism opportunity: In addition, India offers the international tourist/ patient the unique opportunity to enjoy its rich cultural and historic heritage. Kanpur is 80 kms from Lucknow (an underexplored but beautiful historical city), 490 kms from Delhi and 500 kms from Jaipur; you can visit some of the most beautiful places in the country easily if you have a few days to spare, on a very modest budget also.

Technology.

When it comes to getting a job done, a part of being the best person for the job is having the right tools. Angel Eyes has a rich history of investing heavily in the most cutting-edge diagnostic and treatment technologies available in ophthalmology. By staying on the forefront of technological advances, we can ensure patients receive the latest and the most effective treatment available.

Significantly, the new hospital features an expanded and improved facility for pre- and postoperative examinations. Even with all the lasers and all the surgical expertise at our disposal, any surgical procedure be it LASIK or Cataract, it is only as good as the preoperative testing on which it is based, and one of the strengths here at Angel Eyes has always been the accuracy and thoroughness of our very extensive pre-surgical examination: factors such as refractive error, corneal curvature and thickness, corneal tissue strength, higher-order aberrations, and wavefront mapping are tested by highly-trained technicians using the most advanced equipment available.

This testing enables our doctors to determine who is a good candidate for vision correction surgery and, just as importantly, it allows them to determine which of our wide range of procedures will give each patient the best result. Whether the best result for your unique eyes and vision needs is custom LASIK or Trans – PRK, implantation of the ICL, or laser-assisted cataract surgery or clear lens exchange, the wealth of experience and technology at Angel Eyes promises a great result.

Honesty and Integrity

Much of the success of vision correction surgery depends not just on the technology used and the skill of the surgeon but also on the proper patient selection for each respective procedure. At Angel Eyes we know this to be true and we are careful to select appropriate procedures for each patient. While we have many patients, who come to us for LASIK or lens replacement surgery, we are frank and upfront any time that we find a person’s eyes are not well suited to a particular procedure. Whenever appropriate we will advise you of another method of vision improvement that we can provide. We will not recommend LASIK or another surgery unless we are confident that we can achieve the outcome that you desire and that the respective procedure can achieve.

For many patients, affordability is a factor when considering LASIK, Lifestyle lens implants, or other elective vision correction surgery. Our doctors take the time to meet with you personally to discuss your options, answer your questions, and address your concerns. Fortunately, we are able to make vision correction affordable enough for most candidates. At Angel Eyes, you can be assured that we will provide you with excellence in every aspect of your eye care. Your vision is worth it.

Eye Treatments and Specialties

  1. Specs Removal

Refractive surgery (also known as specs removal procedures), are methods to correct one’s spectacle power. These procedures utilize highly precise laser systems to reshape the curvature of your cornea (clear round dome at the front of your eye) in order to focus the light clearly on Retina (light sensitive layer behind the eye). Other types of procedures involve implanting a lens inside your eye over the natural lens or exchanging the natural lens with an artificial lens of appropriate power. Angel Eyes offers all the latest procedures for specs removal such as:

  1. Cornea & External Eye Disease

The cornea is the transparent, dome-shaped tissue covering the front of the eye. Replacing the damaged or opaque cornea with a clear, healthy cornea from a donor is referred to as corneal transplant, corneal graft or Penetrating Keratoplasty (PK). There are many different types of corneal transplants depending on the part of Cornea damaged. All types of corneal transplants are performed routinely in our hospital. Keratoconus is an eye condition where the clear front of the eye, the cornea, gets thin and bulges outward into a cone shape. This spoils the quality of the image projected into the eye, and the vision becomes progressively blurred. Angel Eyes offers all the latest treatments for Cornea such as:

  • Corneal Transplant Surgery (PK – Penetrating Keratoplasty)

  1. Glaucoma

Glaucoma is the most serious eyesight threatening condition of the eye. It usually manifests as a painless gradual loss of vision. The lost vision can never be recovered. However, medical or surgical treatment can prevent or retard further loss of vision. Many a times it can be confused with a cataract which also manifests as a painless gradual loss of vision. The difference is that in the case of cataract, the loss of vision is fully recoverable by means of a simple surgery. Our eyes contain a clear fluid called aqueous humour, which is continuously produced in the eye to bath and nourish the structures inside it. The fluid normally drains out of the eye through drainage canals in a fine mesh work located around the edge of the iris (the coloured part of the eye that surrounds the pupil). In people with glaucoma the fluid fails to drain due to some defect and thus increases the pressure inside the eyes called raised Intraocular Pressure (IOP) (or Tension). In most cases of glaucoma, the patient is not aware of the gradual loss of sight until vision is significantly impaired. Angel Eyes offers the latest diagnostic and surgical treatments for glaucoma such as:

  • Glaucoma Drainage Valves
  • Glaucoma Surgery
  • Glaucoma lasers
  • Visual Fields Analysis
  • Cyclodestructive Procedures
